I read the obituary of Mr. Bond in the Watertown Daily Times and although I do not know any family or friends of Mr. Bond, I felt the need to send this message.
I was overwhelmed and deeply moved as I read of his military record. I have truly never known any like it. He was a true and extraordinary hero. You certainly must be extremely proud of him. I am proud that he was a son of the North Country.
From the obituary words and his kind face included, it surely seems that he was an exemplary man in his later years.
My sincere condolences on the loss of this great man.

Preston, Julie, Jeffery, Nikki, and Family,
My deepest condolences on the loss of your Father and Grandfather. He was a wonderful and kind man ( once you got past being afraid of him when we were 8 or 9 ). :) . I remember growing up with you boys and listening to some stories that your Dad would tell and thinking WOW! Amazing. As I look back now I think that man should have wrote a book on all the memories he shared and even some he didn't. I was truly a very blessed young lady to have been able to say Hey, I knew that guy and I went to school with his evil twins. (j/k about the evil part) Poor Mrs Hynes may she R.I.P. lol... It truly was an honor to know your dad. He was A True American Hero. May he Fly high with the Angels for he is now Home where he belongs with Our Lord. R.I.P. Buzzy Bond til we meet again.
With Love and Prayers,
Janice McIntosh-Brothers

Uncle Buzzy,
I remember the times we had together working at the cemetery in Star Lake and drinking mountain dews. I can not express in words how much of a difference you made in my life as I was growing up and having difficult times after losing my mother. You stood by me and helped me be the man I am today. I will miss you and I will always be grateful for the times we shared together. I love you soooo much and will miss you always. I will see you again one day. Love David.
In loving memory we pray that you will rest in peace forever,
Love,
David & Debbie Russell

My sincere condolences to the Bond family. Buzzy and I were classmates at Canton ATC in the Mortuary Science program, class of 1985. He was a great guy, who was a true friend to all of us. He made a lasting impression on me, and I will never forget how humble he was. He is an American Hero, and we shall always be thankful for his sacrifice. May your happy memories bring you comfort in the coming days.
Sincerely,
Jim Dimbleby
