NORWOOD—There will be no services at this time for 61 year old Danny L. Shepard, a resident of 466 Elliott Road, Norwood, who passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at his home. Danny is survived by his companion of 23 years, Kelly J. Munson, Norwood; his four sons, Nicholas and Renee Shepard, FL; Thomas Sprague, Norfolk; Robert Philbrook, Norfolk; Nathan and Stacey Sprague, Potsdam; his seven grandchildren, Nicholas Jr. , Breyden, Layla, Trexler, Mason, Paula and Sierra. Danny is also survived by two brothers, Donald Shepard, Norfolk and Dale Shepard, Rochester; his four sisters, Diane and Dave Liebfred, Norwood; Debra Shepard, Potsdam; Donna White, Madrid and Doreen and Larry Pryce, Madrid as well as several nieces and nephews. Danny was pre-deceased by his parents, a brother Duane and two sets of twin infants and birth.
Born in Potsdam, NY on May 24, 1955 to the late Donald and Irene Barkley Shepard, Danny worked construction most of his life before he became disabled. He was a proud veteran who served during the Vietnam Era and was a member of the Norwood American Legion. Memorial Donations in his memory can be made to the Norwood American Legion.
