MADRID—Graveside services for 58 year old Diane R. Watson, a resident of 240 Cogswell Coroners Road, Madrid, will be held Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 3 p.m. at the Madrid Cemetery with Pastor David Tulloch presiding. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Marine Corps Building in the community park in Madrid following the service. Mrs. Watson passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital with her family at her side.
Diane is survived by her husband, Bryan, Madrid; a daughter, Bess and Stephen Bonno, Lisbon; six grandchildren, Sean Bates, Nickolas, Alainnah, Stephen "Earl" Jr., Hunter and Alexander Bonno; her four brothers, Flurence "Jr" LaPage, Wendell and Sandra LaPage, Calvin LaPage, Bruce LaPage; her three sisters, Marion and Ronald Bice, Sandra and Roy Weaver and Nancy Clary as well as several nieces and nephews.
Born in Potsdam, NY on July 28, 1958 to the late Flurence "Bun" and Helen Collett LaPage, she married Bryan M. Watson on June 25, 2011. Diane was employed for the St. Lawrence County Sherriff's Office in the correctional facility as a cook for over 17 years. She was a member of the Ogdensburg Moose Lodge and enjoyed going to bingo, bowling, animals, especially her cats and visiting with her family and friends. Most recently, she enjoyed watching gameshows and reality shows on t.v. due to her lack of mobility. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations in her memory can be made to the Potsdam SPCA, the Madrid Rescue Squad, Hospice and Palliative Care or to a local cancer center.
