NORWOOD—Funeral Services for 95 year old Keron R. Longest, a resident of 4 Grove Street, Norwood, will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood with Rev. Lee Sweeney presiding. Burial will be held in the Bayside Cemetery, Potsdam. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mrs. Longest passed away early Friday morning at her home.
Keron is survived by three sons, Clark and Christian, TN; John and Debbie, West Palm Beach, FL; Louis and Tammy Longest, Norwood; her daughter, Cynthia and Al Bidwell, TN; thirteen grandchildren, several grand and great-grandchildren and her nieces and nephews. Keron was pre-deceased by her husband, a son Frank, a daughter Gloria Bradley, a brother David Russell and her sister, Alma Williams.
Born in Potsdam, NY on April 2, 1920 to the late Clark and Muriel Russell, Keron married the late William F. Longest on July 5, 1942. He passed away on August 5, 1990. As well as being a homemaker, Keron worked for Robar’s Taxi in Potsdam as well as Seaway Tech in Norwood as a Data Processor. Her most enjoyment came from playing bingo and crocheting bedspreads for her family. Keron also liked to read an occasional book and spend time with her family. She was a member of the Norwood American Legion Auxiliary. Memorial Donations in her memory can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
