NORWOOD—Services for 77 year old Barry A. Woodward Sr., of 157 Lakeshore Drive, will be held Friday at 3:00 p.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood with Rev. Lee Sweeney presiding. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood starting at 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Mr. Woodward passed away Tuesday evening at his home.
Barry is survived by his wife of 55 years Carolyn “Nettie” Woodward, Norwood; his son, Barry Jr., Syracuse; his two daughters, Janet and Michael Landoll, Norwood and Lori Woodward Benedetti, TN; his three grandchildren, Barry Woodward III, Michael Landoll II and Brittany Landoll and his great grandchildren, Collin, Grayson and Marcus Landoll. He is also survived by his sisters, Janet Derouchia, Norfolk; Gail (Newbury) Meader, Norwood; and his brother, Edwin Woodward, SC. He was pre-deceased by his brother Albert “Joey” Woodward.
Born in Norwood on December 6, 1938 to the late Albert and Elizabeth Baum Woodward, Barry served in the U.S. ARMY from 1956-1959. He later owned and operated his own car dealership, Woodward Auto Sales in Potsdam. He was an avid hunter and also enjoyed reading in his spare time.
