COLTON—In honoring the wishes of Larry, there will be no calling hours or funeral services for 69 year old Lawrence C. Patzwald, a resident of 13 Monroe Ave, Ogdensburg and also of 45 Big Rock, Colton. Mr. Patzwald passed away Saturday afternoon in Ogdensburg. Lawrence, also known as Uncle George and Pat Ozwald, is survived by his sister Marilyn Patzwald (William Kostlevy), his extended family, James & Amy DiSalvo & Family, Tom & Lynn Passamonte, Mark & Sally Passamonte & Family, Eugene (Bill) & Felicia Bonno & Family. He is also survived by his special friends Jerry Wilson, Bob & Linda Lemieux, and Lorraine & Warren Harmon.
Born in Rochester, NY on April 15, 1946 to the late Carl and June Cowles Patzwald, Lawrence earned a master's degree in education and worked as a teacher, principal and also as a superintendent for several school districts throughout his 34 years in the educational system. After his retirement, Lawrence also served as the Town of Colton Supervisor. He enjoyed being around people and doing his best to help others. Lawrence had a love of the Adirondacks and enjoyed spending time at his residence in Colton as well. Memorial Donations can be made in his memory to the Colton or Ogdensburg Volunteer Rescue Squad.
