NORWOOD—Funeral Services for 68 year old Ralph C. Willard, a resident of 2 Baldwin Acres, Norwood, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood with Rev. Msgr. John Murphy presiding. Burial will be held in the Hale Cemetery, Norfolk. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Saturday from 12 noon until the time of the funeral. Mr. Willard passed away unexpectedly early Wednesday morning at his home.
Ralph is survived by his wife of 42 years, Anna, Norwood; his two brother-in-law’s, Frank Brothers and Wendy Scott, Chase Mills; Frank Paige, Potsdam; his three sister-in-law’s, Brenda Cook, Norwood; Rita and Dan Sharlow, Raymondville; Margueritte Willard, Lisbon as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Ralph was pre-deceased by his parents, his brothers Lyle, James, Charles, George and Gerald Willard and his sister Betty Willard-Burcume.
Born on May 29, 1947 in Canton, NY to the late Ralph S. and Dorothy L. Day Willard, Ralph worked as a press operator for the Century Group in East Rochester, NY making safes. In his spare time, Ralph enjoyed bowling, playing cards, especially Phase 10 and playing scratch off tickets. Ralph also enjoyed spending time with people at family gatherings and had a good sense of humor. He loved to tell stories, he was the “Fun” uncle and could always be “one of the girls”.
