Norfolk--Funeral services for 81 year old Lyle W. Monica, of 1 High Street, Norfolk will be held Monday at 4pm at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk. A spring burial will be held at the Visitation Cemetery, Norfolk. Calling hours will be held Monday from 1-4 at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk. Mr. Monica passed away Thursday, February 19 at Fletcher-Allen Medical Center in Burlington, VT. Lyle is survived by his son Steve & Doreen, Wingdale, NY, his daughters Mrs. Michael Yvonne Coburn, Millerton, NY, and Mrs. Kevin Linda Coburn, Wingdale, NY and his sisters Mrs. Harold Marjorie Wagstaff, Norfolk, Mrs. Francis Lorna Leggue, Massena and Audrey Bushey, Norwood. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his brothers Calvin, Joseph, Eugene, and his sisters Laura Castleman, Gloria Monica, Lenore Kozak, Theresa Monica, and Elaine Monica. Born in Norfolk on August 4, 1927 the son of Wilfred and Rose McGregor Monica. He was in the U.S. Army and served in WW II. He worked as a mechanic at various automotive dealerships and as a supervisor in the stocking department at Wal-Mart. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and playing cards.
