Raymondville--There will be no services for 69 year old Alvin G. Dewey, of 12 Woodland Drive in Raymondville. Mr. Dewey died Monday afternoon at his home. He is survived by his wife Joyce, his sons Alvin II & Debra Dewey Norwood, and Dennis Dewey, Winthrop, and his grandson Hunter. He was pre-deceased by a sister Helen Carrier. Born in Potsdam on March 13, 1939, the son of George & Florence Perry Dewey, he married Joyce Dupuis on October 10, 1964. He was in the Air Force from 1957- 1959. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier in Massena. He retired in 1999 after 35 years of service. He was a communicant of St. Raymonds Church, a member of the Massena Amvets, Winthrop American Legion, and loved spending winters in Florida. Donations can be made to the Norfolk Rescue Squad.
