NORFOLK– Graveside services for 64 year old Donald F. Monroe, 1866 County Route 38, Norfolk, will be held Saturday at 11 am at Bixby cemetery in Norfolk with Rev. Harold Wheat, pastor of the Norfolk United Methodist Church presiding. Mr. Monroe passed away Monday evening at Massena Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his wife Bonnie, Norfolk and a daughter Tracie Monroe, Middleville, NY. He is also survived by brothers Hollis and Wendell of Norfolk and his sisters Connie Euto and Phyllis LaDue, also of Norfolk. He was pre-deceased by his brothers Claude, Ralph, Henry and George, David and sisters Ianthia Jones, Cleodoria Porter, Carolyn Fleury and Iona Prashaw. Born in Potsdam on February 10, 1944, to Edward and Grace Jessmer Monroe, he married Bonnie Frary on August 17, 1971. He worked with at General Motors plant in Massena for 30 years. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Memorial donations can be made to the Norfolk Rescue Squad or to Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley.
