Donnie was such an important part of our family also and we will always remember her wonderful personality, sweet demeanor and her friendship, along with her zest for life.
May the wonderful memories you have of her, help ease a bit of the loss you're feeling at this difficult time.

My sincere condolences to the family. True comfort comes in knowing that death does not come from God. Romans 12:5 tells us the cause of death. God in his love promises to destroy death forever and to bring your loved one back to life. Please Read Isaiah 25:8 & Acts 24:15 for details of that promise. I hope this gives you a measure of comfort.

David, Deb and Lynn,
I know tomorrow will be a tough day for you and the grandkids and want you to know that I will be there in spirit. I wish I could have made it up, but will do my best to make it in the spring. Aunt Donnie was a huge part in Mom's life and also in ours these last few years after Dad and Uncle Floyd passed away. We have so many funny memories, memorable trips and just good visits with Aunt Donnie. Know that she will be missed by the McIntyre girls and you all will be in our thoughts. Hugs to all of you.
Love,
Sheila

I grew up with the LaShombs. Mrs. LaShomd cheered at our ball games Go Tigers. I was their paperboy. She put me up for a night when I had a falling out with my Dad but, she made me call home to tell them where I was. We had an all too short correspondence a number of years ago. Even at my young age I felt she was the bedrock of the family and a woman of note in Norfolk. I send my condolences to her family.

Words cannot express how much my aunt Donnie will be missed. I will not ever forget how she continued to bring the paper to my mother every day even after my father passed. Being away I knew that was her way of checking up and keeping an eye on my mother. She is now in heaven with my mom and dad - and I'll bet with the election she and my father are debating.I could go on and on with the heartfelt
Memories but I will run out of room here. Uncle Floyd & Aunt Donnie will always hold a special place in my heart.

This world is getting sadder for all the wonderful ppl are leaving us She is with her Father in heaven . Never again to be sad or in pain or sick We all miss you
