NORWOODFuneral services for 100 year old Richard Trivilino, a resident of 80 North Main Street in Norwood, will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Andrews Church in Norwood with Rev. Msgr. John Murphy presiding. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Norwood. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. The Norwood Knights of Columbus will meet at the funeral home at 7 p.m. for a wake service. Mr. Trivilino passed away early Tuesday morning at the United Helpers Riverledge Home in Ogdensburg, where he was a resident since October 6, 2015.
Richard is survived by his fifteen nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his two brothers, Herman and Paul Trivilino, a sister Juvina Hughes and a nephew Richard Hughes. Born in Gouverneur, NY on March 9, 1915 to the late Umberto and Francesca Forgione Trivilino, Richard served in the U.S. Army-Air Force from 1942-1946. Upon his return, he worked at the family owned Norwood Bakery, retiring in 1965. Richard was a lifelong resident of Norwood, in fact, living in the same house all his life until just a month ago. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, even at 90 years old. Richard loved spending the holidays with his nieces and nephews and he was an avid pilot and enjoyed flying his seaplane after retiring. Richard was a communicant of St. Andrews Church in Norwood and was the longest standing member of the Knights of Columbus in Norwood at 47 years and was also a 60 year member of the Azure Mountain Hunting Club.
