POTSDAM—Funeral services for 72 year old Lorna Mae Wagner, of 5904 St. Highway 56, Hannawa Falls, will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton with Elder Ken Ashley presiding. Burial will be held after the service at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Degrasse. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mrs. Wagner passed away Friday morning at her sister’s home in Potsdam. Lorna is survived by her husband, Phillip Wagner, Hannawa Falls; her two daughters, Catherine (Morrow) and Paul Robinson, Benson AZ.; Christine (Morrow) and Andrew Tupper, Pierrepont; her three grandchildren, Amber and Andrew Tupper; and Cord Robinson. Lorna is also survived by her ten step-children, her three brothers, Gene, Randy and Chet Brundage, and her sister Roxanne (Brundage) and Lynn Smith, Potsdam. Lorna was pre-deceased by a daughter Caren, and a sister Rosalie (Brundage) Wright. Born on November 22, 1942 to the late, Theron and Kathleen Durham Brundage of Potsdam, Lorna was born the third of six children. She attended Potsdam Schools and graduated in 1961. She worked her in the food service industry her whole life. Her first job was at Neisner’s in Potsdam. Through the years she cooked in several restaurants and even owed a restaurant, Lorna’s Higley Diner, in Colton. While living in Arizona for 9 years she cooked for a sorority house and a nursing home. For several years she was the cook for Weller Mountain Hunting Club, a position she loved. In recent years during the summer months she worked at Spirits of Hannawa and at her sister Roxanne’s restaurant, Foxy Roxy’s, in Potsdam. She also did catering for several years. She and her husband wintered in Bradenton, Florida, where she also kept busy organizing and cooking for many events. She was an associate member of the Colton Fire Department, often organizing and cooking for events. She was a past Brownie and Girl Scout leader and co-founder of a twirler and pompom group in the 1970’s. She and her husband started an annual Texas horseshoe tournament that draws many people who enjoyed the yearly event. She loved playing shuffleboard, playing poker and doing crafts. Lorna was well known for having a big heart. Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Colton Fire Department or Hospice of St. Lawrence County.
