NORWOODGraveside services for 88 year old Charline E. Fielding, a resident of Tennessee and formerly of Norwood, will be held at a later date in the Cranberry Lake Cemetery. Mrs. Fielding passed away on September 13, 2015. Charline is survived by two sons, James and Dawn Fielding, Manchester, TN; David and Paula Fielding, Byron, NY; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Charline is also survived by a brother, Earl Jack Morris, Michigan and a sister, Frances Adelhart, FL. She was pre-deceased by her husband, a son, William Fielding, and her brothers Lawrence Morris Jr. and Charles Morrris.
Born in Hopkinsville, KY on June 27, 1927 to the late Lawrence and Ethel Cannon Morris, she married Wayne Fielding on July 1, 1945. Wayne passed away on November 5, 1994. Charline worked at the Marine Midland Bank in Potsdam as a secretary and administrative assistant. She was a past member of the First Congregational Church in Norwood, a past president and chaplain of the womans fellowship, the past treasurer of the salvation Army Unit in Potsdam, a past member of the Lyra Chapter 230 of the Order of the Eastern Star as well as being the past District Deputy Grand Matron of the 2nd St. Lawrence District. Charline enjoyed traveling, doing crafts and volunteering her time to help others. Memorial Donations can be made to a local Alzheimers Association.
