NORWOOD— Mr. William H. Rutley, age 75, of Norwood, will passed away at his home in Norwood on August 27th while under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley and his family. A celebration of life for Bill will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015, 11 a.m. at the Knapp’s Station Community Church in Knapp’s Station, where he was a member. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley. Bill is survived by his wife, Diane Rutley, Norwood; a son Timothy (Denise) Rutley of Slinger, WI; his daughters, Allison (Phillip) Adams, Kimberly Rutley and Cathleen Rutley, all of Potsdam; eight grandchildren, Jamie, Lindsay, Shea, Chelsea, Abbie, Haley, Chase and Alexie and two great-grandchildren, Amaiyah and Maxen. Bill Rutley was born on November 25, 1939 in Ogdensburg, NY, the son of the late Harold and Alice Marsellus Rutley. He married Diane McGowan on September 9, 1961. He was a mechanic and farmer and was extremely proud of his farm in Norwood. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
