COLTONFuneral services for 78 year old Elizabeth J. Betty Morrow 4846 St. Highway 56, Colton, will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Patricks Church in Colton with Rev. Howard Venette presiding. Burial will be held in St. Patricks Cemetery, Colton. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mrs. Morrow passed away Friday morning at home.
Betty is survived by two sons, Dennis (Linda) Eickhoff, Colton; Joseph Eickhoff, Weaverville, North Carolina; one daughter Lisa Cole of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is also survived by five brothers, Patrick Regan, Pierrepont; Francis (Myrtle) Regan, Canton; Lawrence (Sandy) Regan, South Colton; Bernard (Debbie) Regan, Colton, Thomas (Jodi) Regan, Ogdensburg; her two sisters, Elaine Capps, West Point, Virginia and Mary Fisher and her companion Ed Gordon of South Colton. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Richard Regan in 1954 and Michael Regan in 2014.
Born April 3, 1937 in Potsdam, NY, a daughter of Michael E. & Evelyn Brothers Regan. She attended the Number Nine School and Norwood-Norfolk Central.
She married Eugene Eickhoff May 8, 1958 at St. Andrews Church, Norwood by Msgr. Francis Maguire. She later married Fredrick Morrow October 23, 2000 at his home in Colton by Justice Robert Camp. Mr. Morrow died October 26, 2000. She was a member of the Amvets Ladies Auxiliary Post #262, Colton and was an Associate Member of the Colton Fire Department Corporation. She was also a member of The Senior Raquetteers. She was a stay at home mom who raised her children alone. She loved to sing at the nursing home and enjoyed going out with her friend Jane when musicians were playing in the area. Betty also enjoyed working at the various events that the fire department put on, she loved playing cards, taking an occasional trip to the casino and enjoyed playing lottery tickets. She also did two walkathons and helped pick up roadside trash in her seventies. One of her favorite things to do was to be able to go to the Hideaway Diner to eat and socialize. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley, Friends of The Colton Hepburn Library, P.O. Box 7, Colton, NY 13625 or the Colton Fire Department, P. O.
