I am saddened to read of Agnes' passing. She was a dear soul. Now she is free from the limitations of her earthly body. May she rest in peace, flying with the angels. Until we meet again, dear friend. gale

Dear Judy and Earl
I just heard the news about Agnes. She was so beautiful and lovable and though it is good that she is finally home with the Lord she so loved and served, it is still difficult to say goodbye.
When Agnes was first afflicted and was at Good Samaritan Hospital, I used to go down to see her about 3 times a week. She was absolutely delightful and always so positive and, as you know, struggling to get better. I would bring her dessert from the Motherhouse, and we would talk and laugh--ad I learned so much from her.
I was moved to the Plattsburgh area in 1989 (as my mother was needing help) and for a while wrote to Agnes (and received letters from her) but as the years went on, lost track of her. I returned to the Motherhouse in July, 2013, and last fall heard that Agnes was at Samaritan. I went to see her--and though she had become so fragile, the beauty and peace still emanated from her. I went a second time a couple of months ago but, am sorry to say, that I did not go as often as I should have. (I am older now and am still working. . .)
I don't understand why Agnes, so full of life, joy, and love, had to suffer as she did--but know that she was an example to so many, remained so close to the Lord--and is surely a saint. She will be watching over you now in love.
May God be your consolation. Be assured of my prayers and the prayers of the sisters, especially those who knew and loved her, at this difficult time.
In Jesus
Sister Cordata

Dear Judy,
I am just reading about Agnes (8/27/2015) and am sorry to hear of her passing. I hadn't seen Agnes in years but remember not only her joy of life but that twinkle she'd get in her eye when she was up to mischief. She made me want to be a better person. I know she will be greatly missed.

Dear Judy and Earl,
My condolences for your loss of Agnes. What a beautiful person! The fall she was stricken, her photo was chosen for the Mater Dei College Catalog of course offerings.
Anytime I went to see her, during her illness, she was smiling. God showed his love through her.
Now she, though invisible to us, is interceding for us. She is very near.
Sincerely,
Sister Norma

I have known Agnes since grade school. We both attended St. Mary's. I know Agnes was more liked by the Nun's than me.She was well liked in high school and we were all saddened when she became ill in college.
In the times that I saw her after her attack she never complained. When she could not communicate with me she would always say -It's alright. She cared for all of us.She kept her high school yearbook handy and if she wanted to know if I'd heard or seen this person she would find a picture in the Yearbook.
Her courage and determination is unmatched.May my childhood friend now find Peace.

Dear Judy and Earl,
My condolences for your loss of Agnes. For nearly 40 years, she has suffered. I was at Mater Dei, when she was stricken. That year, she had been chosen to have her photo on the Mater Dei Catalog of course offerings. We still have the catalog in our Archives.
What a beautiful and capable young student, she was. It looked like all kinds of opportunities were ahead of her.
During her illness, any time that I saw her, she had such a winning smile. I am imagining that God was working through her, in her unique situation. We can now have her intercede for us, because though invisible, she remains with us.
How fortunate I have been to have known her.
Sincerely,
Sister Norma

Agnes was a treasure. She was the most beautiful person inside and out in our high school. The last time I saw her was in Canton, where my father was staying before his passing. We shared dinner together, and it was wonderful to see her. My thoughts are with the family and know you will keep her memory alive. Bless you Agnes.
