NORFOLK-- Funeral Services for 92 year old Margaret E. Breg, a resident of West High Street, Norfolk, will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Church of the Visitation in Norfolk with Rev. Msgr. John Murphy presiding. Burial will be held in the Visitation Cemetery, Norfolk. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Mrs. Breg passed away Monday evening at the St. Regis Nursing Home in Massena surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Breg is survived by her son, Joseph and Magda Breg ; her two daughters, Ilona and Robert Joy and Eva Enache and her companion William Lawrence, all of Norfolk; her six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Margaret was pre-deceased by her parents and a sister, Maria Schomberger.
Born in Turterebes, Romania on August 16, 1922 to the late Alex and Elizabeth Mary Egli Schwarczkopf, Margaret married Anthony Breg on February 15, 1944. Anthony passed away on December 7, 2008. Margaret was an Hungarian Chef, working at Sabads Restaurant in Norfolk for many years. Mrs. Breg enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking and spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. She was a communicant of the Church of the Visitation in Norfolk, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.
