RAYMONDVILLE-- Funeral services for 68 year old Son Cha Kim Harrington, a resident of 11 Woodland Drive, Raymondville, will be held Saturday at 12 noon at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk with Pastor Heather Stierheim presiding. A spring burial will be held in the Bixby Cemetery, Norfolk. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Mrs. Harrington passed away Saturday evening at the Massena Memorial Hospital. Son Cha is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ricky Harrington, Raymondville; a son William K. and his partner Caitlin Stein-Miner, Wynantskill, NY; two grandchildren, Jesse and Sierra Miner; a brother Kim Malcolm and a sister Sue and James Moran, Walnut, CA. She was pre-deceased by her parents and a sister, Nomi. Born in Choila Nan-Do, South Korea on May 28, 1946 to the late Kim Sang I and Chong Yon Hun, Son Cha married Ricky Harrington on November 13, 1969. Son Cha was a homemaker and also worked at various places which include the Massena High School Cafeteria, Li’s Chinese Restaurant in the St. Lawrence Centre, the St. Regis and Highland Nursing Homes in Massena and Cline and Tinkers in Malone. She was a communicant of the Massena Methodist Church and the Korean Methodist Church in Black River where she also served as an elder. Son Cha enjoyed gardening, shopping, traveling, playing the piano, crocheting, cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She took great pride in being the hostess for social gatherings.
