RAYMONDVILLE-- Graveside services for 88 year old Pearl G. Brothers, a resident of the St. Regis Nursing Home in Massena and formerly of Raymondville, will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Raymondville Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Mrs. Brothers passed away Tuesday morning at the St. Regis Nursing Home. Pearl is survived by her longtime companion James Bond, Massena; three sons, Roger and Vicky, Raymondville; Allen and Kathy, Norfolk; Gary and Ann, North Carolina; twelve grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and a brother, Gordon and Dorothy Arquitte, Massena and a sister, Cecile “Ethel” Chapman, Canton. Peal was pre-deceased by her husband Carl in 1988, a son Ronald, her daughter Constance Belgarde, a grandchild, her brothers Simeon, Elihu, Ellis, Earl, Carl and Frank and her sisters Alzina “Carol” Baxter and Ailsie “Jane” Dowe. Born in Norfolk on January 14, 1926 to the late Heman and Winnie Ellis Arquitte, Pearl married Carl A. Brothers on July 5, 1947. Pearl worked as a Home Health Care Worker for the St. Lawrence County Department of Social Services for 14 years, retiring in 1988. Previously, Pearl worked at the Highland Nursing Home in Massena and the Norfolk Paper Mill. She enjoyed going to Bingo and watching baseball, especially her beloved Mets. Pearl loved spending time with her family, especially around Christmas time. Memorial Donations in her memory can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
