NORFOLKFuneral services for 92 year old Fern M. Harrington, 62 West High Street, Norfolk, will be held Tuesday at 12 noon at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk. Burial will take place following the service in Bixby Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Mrs. Harrington passed away Friday evening at Massena Memorial Hospital.
Fern is survived by her three sons, Young, Norfolk; Rick & SonCha, Raymondville; Robert & Valerie, Massena; her three grandchildren, Christopher, William and his companion Caitlyn Stein-Miner, Jennifer & John Belk; her two step-grandchildren, Robert Griffin Jr., Jeannine Granger and her great grandchild, Emily Belk. Fern was pre-deceased by her husband, Carl in April of 2000; her brothers, Leighton and Willard Genaway and her sisters Doris Dunn, Hazel Chapin and Eleanor Dyer.
Born in Belmont on August 15, 1922 to the late Reuben and Blanche Sherman Genaway. She married Carl E. Harrington on June 30, 1941. Fern was a homemaker and enjoyed drawing, painting, sewing and watching the news. Memorial Donations in her name may be made to a charity of ones choice.
