RAYMONDVILLE—Funeral services for 76 year old Edward P. Saber, 3 Riverside Drive, Raymondville, will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Raymond’s Church in Raymondville with Rev. Msgr. John Murphy presiding. Burial will be held in the Visitation Cemetery, Norfolk. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mr. Saber passed away Friday evening. Ed is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joyce; a son Randy Saber and Daniel Olejnik, Great Neck, Long Island; two daughters, Mitzi and Tom Sawyer, Raymondville and Sonja and Paul Davis, Oswego; his four grandchildren, Jessica and Tylor Fuller, TJ Sawyer, Dylan Davis, Taylor Davis; his brothers, Donald and Sue Saber, FL; Doug Saber, Potsdam; his four sisters, Joan and Joseph Regan, Norwood; Betty Rabideaux, Potsdam; Cathy Hayes, Knapps Station; Susan Saber, Potsdam and several nieces and nephews. Ed was pre-deceased by his brothers Raymond and Mylar Saber and a sister, Joyce Mitchell. Born in Potsdam to the late Raymond and Catherine Adams Saber, Ed married Joyce Sharlow in 1956 at St. Raymond’s Church. He worked for Verizon as a cable splicer for 36 years. He had a passion for spending time outdoors, especially hunting. He was a member of the Windy Hill Hunting Club in Edwards and was a lifelong Honorary member of the Eastbrook Hunting Club in St. Regis Falls. He enjoyed going to camp in Edwards, going 4-wheeling and berry picking. He also enjoyed sitting down to watch a NASCAR race or a golf match. Mostly, Ed enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends. Memorial Donations in his memory can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
