NORWOODFuneral services for 77 year old James S. Regan, 88 Pig Street, Norwood, will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood with Jims nephew, Pastor Derrick Tuper presiding. Burial will be held in St. Marys Cemetery, Potsdam. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 3 p.m. Mr. Regan passed away Wednesday evening at his home.
Jim is survived by his wife of 48 years, Grace, Norwood; his daughter, Deborah Grant and her companion Michael Gagner, Massena; his three grandchildren, Samuel, Kayla and Deven Grant; his brothers John and Kathy Regan, Syracuse; Jeff Regan, Arizona; Edward Guiney Jr, South Colton and his two sisters, Donna Barkley, Alabama and Noreen and Donald Tuper, Potsdam and several nieces and nephews. Jim was pre-deceased by his son Shaun in 1986.
Born in Potsdam on July 8, 1937 to the late John M. and Reatha Farmer Guiney Regan, he married Grace E. Long on June 25, 1966 at St. Pauls Church in South Colton with Rev. John Canning presiding. He worked for Clarkson University for several years as a grounds keeper until he became disabled in 1984. Previously, Jim worked at the Nekoosa Edwards Paper Mill. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1954 1958. Jim enjoyed reading the bible and loved spending time with and bragging about his grandchildren.
