I,too, had the privilege of growing up with Jerry as his family lived a short distance from mine. Being best pals with Terrie, I found Jerry to be the pesky brother, the cool guy who had his own vehicle, and the crazy nut who was up to any challenge. It's hard to come to terms with the fact that we've lost one of our South Colton gang, but our lives are all richer for having had him be a part of it. My heart goes out to Terrie, Steve and Pat, his children, his wife, and to all who mourn him.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I didn't know Jerry well, but when I was a kid, I thought he was so cool with his motorcycle, trucks and logging equipment. When my brother was young, he always knew who went by the house and honked by their truck (often it was a Poste). Jerry was a great mentor to him and will be missed by many.

It is with deepest sadness that we wish sincere condolences to the Poste Family in your loss. I worked with Jerry early in my career with Champion and the time spent with him and J$S Logging made me a better person. I owe much of what I learned to the time that Jerry invested in me. Jerry and Dale were the first new contractors that I brought into St Regis Falls. I remember the day well in Club 30 when I put them into a small stand of Black Cherry. That was the begining of a great relationship that started out as business, but ended as friends. A really good man has been lost and I know he leave a huge void behind. Fill that void with love and carry on Jerry would have. Best wishes to you all and God Bless.

to all the family......At times like this you just don't know what to say or do. Jerry was a friend of our family since way back in high school days. First with our nephews and then working buddies with Ron and Scott. Over the years his name has been brought up very often about things that happened when working with him......all good and funny stuff. He will live on in our memories and I am sure the same stories will be told. Will miss seeing him around at the local eating spots. That was always a long visit for him and Ron. Please know that he was a true friend and touched many peoples lives in a good way. We are here if we can help in any way. RIP Jerry.....you will be missed.
