NORWOOD—Funeral services for 64 year old Shelva J. Vredenburg, 5 Evergreen Ave, Raymondville and formerly of Norwood, will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood with Rev. John Kashorek presiding. Burial will be held in the Calvary Cemetery, Norwood. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Shelva passed away unexpectedly at home Monday morning. Shelva is survived by her step-son Robert Sean and Darla Conyea, Norwood; her step-daughters, Robyn and Michael Proud, Oswego; Terri and Darrell Trippe, FL; four grandchildren; her two brothers Gordon and Marilyn Richards, Canton; Steven and Grace Richards, Norwood; her three sisters, Alice Eurto, Raymondville; Connie and Hugh Palmer, Norwood; Louise Caputo, East Rochester and several nieces and nephews. Born in Potsdam on November 16, 1949 to the late Rolland and Virginia "Mitchell" Richards, Shelva married William H. Vredenburg Jr. on August 15, 1987. He passed away on April 15, 1996. Shelva was a homemaker and also worked in the Town Clerks Office in Norfolk for several years. She loved animals, especially Gidget, her dog and also enjoyed collecting antique toys and shopping. Memorial Donations in her memory can be made to the William H. Vredenburg Jr. Scholarship Fund at the Norwood-Norfolk Central School, P.O. Box 41, Norwood, NY 13668.
