RAYMONDVILLE-- Funeral services for 83 year old Lola C. Germano, 23 Woodland Drive, will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Raymond’s Church in Raymondville with Rev. Msgr. John Murphy presiding. Burial will be held in the Raymondville Cemetery. Following the services, a luncheon will be held at the Fr. Amyot Parish Center in Norfolk. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mrs. Germano passed away early Wednesday morning at the Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg. Lola is survived by her husband of 63 years, Dominick; two sons, Dennis, Raymondville and Michael Germano and Sharon Hicks, Norwood; two grandchildren, Christina and Nate Paller and Madison Germano; her sister, Sally and Joseph Sutter, Raymondville and her brother and sister-in-laws, Tony and Nancy Germano, Raymondville; Katie Zych, Kansas and Joyce Germano, Massena as well as several nieces and nephews. Lola was pre-deceased by her daughter, Kathy in 2005. Born in Potsdam, NY on March 14, 1931 to the late Walter and Pauline McNulty Campbell, Lola married Dominick Germano on June 16, 1951. She received a master’s degree in education, teaching at the Raymondville Elementary School and the Madrid-Waddington Central School, where she taught for 29 years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of the NYS Teachers Association, a communicant of St. Raymond’s Church as well as the Altar and Rosary Society. She taught Sunday School at the church for many years and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing and decorating cakes. Lola truly enjoyed visiting with her family and friends, whether it be at home, a friend’s or going to dinner.
