NORFOLKFuneral services for 76 year old Eileen J. Murray, 94 West Main Street, Norfolk, will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Visitation in Norfolk with Rev. Andrew Amyot presiding. Burial will be held in the Visitation Cemetery, Norfolk, following the services. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mrs. Murray passed away late Saturday evening at her home surrounded by her family.
Eileen is survived by her four sons, Douglas and Susan Murray, Norwood; Roger and Tammy Murray, Marty Murray and Floyd Jr. and Lisa Murray, all of Norfolk; her three daughters, Peggy Agnew and her companion Gary Woodward, Norwood; Sherry and Jeff Fullerton, Norwood and Donna Murray and her friend, Kyle Rabideau, Norfolk. Eileen is also survived by her eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two brothers, Harold and Connie Villnave, Raymondville; Gary and Judy Villnave, Waddington and two sisters, Betty Parmeter, also of Waddington and Shirley and Paul McGregor, Raymondville. Eileen was pre-deceased by a brother, Francis Villnave and a sister, Theresa Ryan.
Born in Massena, NY on September 8, 1937 to the late Harold and Rose Mossow Villnave, Eileen married Floyd D. Murray on July 30, 1955. Floyd passed away on March 25, 1999. Along with raising her seven children, Eileen was a cook at Sabads Restaurant and at her parents diner in Norfolk for many years. She was a communicant of the Church of the Visitation and enjoyed knitting, tending to her flowers and garden, attending bingo and she took pride in taking care of her mother for 21 years. Lately, Eileen became very well acquainted with computers, and enjoyed using them. Memorial Donations in her memory can be made to the Church of the Visitation in Norfolk.
