Obituary of Gary C. Vaquez

MASSENA-- Funeral services for 69 year old Gary C. Vaquez Sr., 374 Gladding Road, Massena, will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk with Rev. Msgr. John Murphy presiding. Burial for Mr. Vaquez and his wife, Barbara, who passed away on November 28, 2013, will be held in the Visitation Cemetery, Norfolk. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Mr. Vaquez passed away early Thursday morning at the Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg. Gary is survived by two sons, Gary and Jill Vaquez, Massena, Corey Vaquez, Potsdam, a grandson, Garrett and a sister, Diane. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Barbara and two brothers, Terry LaGrave and Charlie Lawrence. Born in Massena on June 15, 1944 to Oscar and Mildred Lawrence, Gary was a truck driver, driving for various companies throughout the years. He also owned and operated a small engine repair shop. Gary was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Massena and enjoyed spending time with his grandson, fishing, fixing things and his two beloved cats, Rosie and Trouble.
