Obituary of Delores Mae Gladding

NORWOOD- Funeral services for 82 year old Delores Mae Gladding, of 9 Bernard Avenue Norwood, will be held Friday at 4 p.m.at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood. Friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Friday from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral. Mrs. Gladding passed away Saturday night at her home. Delores is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ryland R. Gladding, a son, Ryland C. Gladding, Louisville; her daughters, Bonnie and Robert Jessmer Sr., Antwerp; Catherine Gladding, Norwood; Melinda Gladding, Norwood; Danielle Gladding, West Chazy; her 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. She was predeceased by a brother at birth. Born in Norwood, NY on November 9, 1931 to the late Clyde and Vera Chase Hammond, she married Ryland on March 8, 1953. Delores lived with and was raised by her grandparents Jessie and Arthur Chase of Norwood. She was a homemaker. Delores had a passion for sewing, crocheting, knitting, and enjoyed doing several other handy crafts. Memorial Donations can be made to the SPCA.
