POTSDAMFuneral services for 70 year old Sarah J. Sevey, of 28 Munson Street, Potsdam and formerly of the Colton area, will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton. Burial will be held at the South Colton Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton on Monday from 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. Sarah passed away Thursday morning with her loving family and friends by her side, at the home of her daughter Susan Ford in Hannawa Falls.
Sarah is survived by her daughters, Sally Remington & companion Kevin Ames, Colton; Mrs. Mark & Susan Ford, Hannawa Falls; Sonya Hinman and her companion Mark Martin, Potsdam and her beloved seven grandchildren, Jordan, Ashley, Andi-Lynne, Steven, Dakota, Logan, and Dawson. Sarah is also survived by her brother Jerry & Jeannie Fisher, Colton and her sister Mrs. Bruce & Judy Ames, Colton and several nieces and nephews. Sarah is pre-deceased by her son Scott Allen Sevey, in 1988,her brother Elmer A. Fisher, and just recently her father Elmer E. Fisher.
Born in Potsdam on January 10, 1943 to the late Elmer and Mary Hubbard Fisher. She married the late Clyde Sevey Jr. on February 23, 1968, Clyde Jr. passed away on May, 30, 1998. Sarah was a homemaker and a member of the Colton Methodist Church. Sarah enjoyed spending time with her family, taking pictures, playing cards and games with her grandchildren.
