NORFOLKFuneral services for 71 year old Barbara L. Vaquez, 374 Gladding Road, Massena, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk with Rev. Donald Manfred presiding. Burial will be held in the Visitation Cemetery, Norfolk. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mrs. Vaquez passed away Thanksgiving evening at her home.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 48 years, Gary Sr., Massena; two sons, Corey Vaquez, Massena and Gary Jr. and his wife, Jill, also of Massena; one special grandson, Garrett; her brothers Gordon, Coopersville, PA; Lloyd and Shirley, Norfolk; Jim, Lisbon; Ron and Terry, Lisbon; Dan and Lillian, Louisville and her sisters Bertha and Floyd Thomas, Norfolk and Elaine and Harold Swinyer, Brasher and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Born in Gouverneur, NY on January 6, 1942 to the late Lloyd and Evelyn Baxter Pitts, Barbara was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, spending time with her grandson and working with the TOPS #493 in Massena for 40 plus years.
