NORFOLK—Funeral services for 56 year old Paul G. “Poppy” Paige Jr., 1 Elm Circle, Norfolk, will be held Tuesday at 10 am at the Church of the Visitation in Norfolk with Rev. Msgr. John Murphy presiding. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk on Monday from 4-8 pm. Mr. Paige passed away unexpectedly Friday morning at his home. Poppy is survived by his wife, Lynda, Norfolk; his daughter, Hope and Brian Bond, Norfolk; his sons, Terry and Brandi Paige, Massena; Shawn and Christina Paige, Norfolk; Matthew Bradish, Norfolk; Irving Bradish and his companion Lynne Russell, Goose Creek, SC; 8 grandchildren, Connor, Christopher, Abigail, Codey, Kendra, Troy, Angelica and Amber. Paul is survived also by his parents, Paul and Nancy Paige Sr., Norfolk; his brothers, Richard and Brenda Paige, Norfolk; Dr. Peter and Paula Paige, Miami, FL.; Jon and his companion Kristen Farragher, Hudson, MA; his sister, Donna Myers, Massena; an aunt, Dorothy Gately, Norfolk; an uncle, John and Paula Gately, Arkansas and his special aunt, Chris Paige, Norwood; several nieces and nephews and his mother-in-law, Cora “Josie” Paige, Norfolk. Paul was born in Potsdam on June 12, 1957 to Paul G. and Nancy Gately Paige Sr. He attended and graduated from NNCS in 1975. He attended College, and then started work for UPS in Potsdam. He retired from UPS in 2007 after 31 years of service. Paul was a communicant of the Church of the Visitation in Norfolk and was a member of the Teamsters, Local 687. He was well known as an avid sports fan, loving his beloved Chicago Cubs and the Bears. Poppy was always helping out with local sporting events, and loved putting together fantasy pools for all sports, whether it be Baseball, Football or NASCAR. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Memorial Donations in Paul’s memory can be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Diabetes Association.
