COLTON—A celebration of life service for 76 year old William J. Campbell, a resident of 579 Windmill Road, Colton and formerly of Liverpool, will be held on Saturday October 19 at 11 a.m. at the Zion Episcopal Church in Colton with Rev. Patricia Lavine presiding. Mr. Campbell died Thursday morning (October 10th) at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital. William is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nancy, Colton; a son Bruce and Irene Campbell, Cicero, two grandchildren a niece, a nephew and a cousin. He is also survived by their special friends, Randy and Lorelei Murdie of Colton. He was pre-deceased by his brother, John L. II. Born in New Castle, PA on March 20, 1937 to the late John L. and Mildred Davis Campbell, he married Nancy Cass on July 21, 1962. William retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1978 after 20 years of service as a Digital Data Repairman and Electronic Computer Systems Technician. He was a member of the Zion Episcopal Church and enjoyed attending the Saturday morning men’s group at the church. Mr. Campbell also enjoyed model trains, attending the Scottish games in Liverpool and he enjoyed the outdoors in the country setting in which they lived.
