NORWOOD- Mary J. Pelkey, age 64 of 67 Park Street, Norwood, died Monday at the home of her daughter Dawn Pelkey Fuller in Norwood. There will be a celebration of her life at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Saturday August 17, 2013 from 11AM 1PM.
Surviving are one son; Edwin Pelkey of Massena and five daughters; Dawn and Craig Fuller of Norwood, Betty Pelkey and Fiance Nathan Vassmer of Norwood, Jodie Pelkey and companion Timothy Gurrola of Massena, Johnnie Flynn and companion Chad Cree of Ogdensburg and Dakota Pelkey of Norwood. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters Carlene Mosby of Tell City, Indiana and Patricia Bolin of Canelton, Indiana. She was pre-deceased by a brother Gerald Jarboe.
Born in Tell City, Indiana on August 29, 1948, daughter of Edwin and Hazel Powers Jarboe, she married John Pelkey on September 10, 1966. He died on November 13, 2009. Mrs. Pelkey was a homemaker.
