Obituary of Beulah V. Hanson

NORFOLK—Funeral Services for 101 year old Beulah V. Hanson, 7762 N. Court Street, Canastota, NY, will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at St. Raymond’s Church in Raymondville. Burial will be held in the Visitation Cemetery, Norfolk. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Mrs. Hanson passed away Sunday afternoon. Beulah is survived by her daughter, Sandra and Richard Carrier Jr., Canastota, NY; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her two husbands, her two brothers, Harold and Leland Sharlow and her sister, Orilla Durgan. Born in Raymondville, NY on March 3, 1912 to the late Samuel and Carrie LaBarge Sharlow, Beulah married the late Court Ritchie and after he passed, married Loren Hanson, who also pre-deceased her. Beulah worked as a nurses attendant for the St. Lawrence State Hospital in Ogdensburg and also was the proprietor of the Raymondville Hotel from 1948-1970. She was a member of the Norfolk American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW in Bellview, FL. Memorial Donations can be made to the Ride for Life Equine and Family Center, Inc., 772 N.
