NORWOOD—Funeral services for 87 year old Sybil E. Besaw, a resident of the Samaritan Keep Home in Watertown, and formerly of Norwood and Colton, will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood. Burial will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Norwood. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral at 3 p.m. Mrs. Besaw is survived by her sister, Mrs. Lois Welser, Evans Mills and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Sybil was pre-deceased by her husband, a brother George Jr. and two sisters, Evelyn Howie and Wilda Heard. Born in Norwood on April 16, 1926 to the late George L. and Eva E. Wait Dillabough, she married Arthur J. Besaw on April 17, 1971. Arthur passed away on June 29, 1986. Sybil was a LPN, working for Mercy Healthcare in Watertown and also the Canton-Potsdam Hospital and the Community Nursing Home in Potsdam. She was a member of the Colton Methodist Church, as well as the Order of the Eastern Star. She volunteered her time to the Colton Library and Museum.
