Obituary of Cynthia J. Francis

NORFOLK—Funeral services for 52 year old Cynthia J. Francis, 141 VanKennan Road, Norfolk, will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Visitation in Norfolk with Rev. Msgr. John Murphy presiding. Burial will be held in the Visitation Cemetery, Norfolk. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Cynthia passed away unexpectedly early Saturday morning at her home. Cynthia is survived by her daughter, Trisha Francis, Massena; a son, Eric Francis and his partner, Peter McCoy, Norwood; her mother, Shirley Lashway, Norfolk; a brother, Eugene and Cheryl Lashway, Norfolk and her three sisters, Donna Lashway, Norfolk; Carolyn and Bruce LaShomb, Parishville and Eva Sweet, Norfolk and several nieces and nephews. Cynthia was pre-deceased by her father William Lashway and a daughter, Nicole Tallman in 1983. Born in Malone on July 24, 1960 to William and Shirley Bigness Lashway, she married Anthony Francis on February 14, 1986. The marriage ended in divorce. She worked at SUNY Potsdam as a cleaner. Cynthia had a love of horses and enjoyed horseback riding with her niece, Jamie. She was devoted to her children and loved spending time with them.
