SOUTH COLTONGraveside services for 87 year old Mollie Ada Johnson, a resident of United Helpers Maplewood Campus, Canton and formerly of South Colton, will be held in the spring at Stark Cemetery, South Colton. There will be no calling hours. Mrs. Johnson passed away early Friday morning at Maplewood.
Mollie is survived by two sons, James and Virginia Cayey and George and Penelope Cayey, both of Colton; two daughters, June Cayey and her husband, James Socci, Auburn, NY; Linda Cayey, Carthage, NY; a step-daughter, Christine Mitchell, Brewerton, NY; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Mollie is also survived by a brother, Kenneth and Lillian Janes and two sisters, Betty Herbert and Margaret Hutchins, all of England and several cousins.
Born in Tottern Hoe, England on September 2, 1925 to the late Horace and Dorothy Lindgren Janes, she married Raymond Cayey. After Raymond passed away, Mollie later married the late A. Keith Johnson. She was a homemaker and was a communicant of the South Colton Community Church and active with the Colton Senior Racqueteers. Mollie was an avid snowmobiler in her earlier years as well.
