NORFOLKFuneral services for 76 year old Jeannine C. LaShomb, 15 Adams Road, Norfolk, will be held Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Church of the Visitation in Norfolk with Rev. Andrew Amyot presiding. Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Massena. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 11 a.m. at the church. Mrs. LaShomb passed away on Monday at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
Jeannine is survived by two sons, Thomas LaShomb Jr., Herndon, PA; Mark LaShomb, Syracuse; two daughters, Deborah Pelkey, Norfolk and Diann LaDue, Black River; fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Jeannine is also survived by her two sister-in-laws, Donalda LaShomb, Norfolk and Elaine LaShomb, Silver Springs, FL. She was pre-deceased by her brothers, Leo and George and her sisters, Madeliene and Laurette, her step-father, Emile Lussier and a grandson, Thomas R. LaShomb III.
Born in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada on March 15, 1936 to the late Albert and Yvonne Clavelle LeGault, she married Thomas R. LaShomb on July 10, 1954. Thomas passed on June 21, 2003. She worked as a homemaker and loved to take care of all her family members in a time of need, in which she did for many years. Jeannine also worked as a home health aide for several years. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Memorial donations can be made to a charity of ones choice.
