Obituary of Clara B. Chapman

NORWOOD—Funeral Services for 91 year old Clara B. Chapman, a resident of the St. Regis Nursing Home in Massena and formerly of the Porter-Lynch Road, Norwood, will be held Saturday December 29, 2012 at 1 pm at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood with Pastor Theresa Stevens presiding. Burial will be held in Brookdale Cemetery. Mrs. Chapman passed away Christmas Eve morning. Clara is survived by two sons, Lloyd and Mary, Crooksfield, Ohio; John and Mona, Brookdale; her two daughters, Kathleen and Andrew Zimmerman, North Tonawanda, NY; Amy and Gregg Harvey, West Chazy; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, a sister, Mary Starks, Raymondville and several nieces and nephews. Clara was pre-deceased by her husband, Floyd T., a twin son Floyd and two sisters, Barbara Cleveland and Beatrice Remington. Born in Bolton Landing, NY on May 4, 1921 to the late Merritt and Letty Stowell Bentley, she married Floyd T. Chapman on April 10, 1944. Clara was a homemaker and helped out on the family farm. She was a member of the Brookdale Wesleyan Church and the Brookdale Cemetery Association. She enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing and was a past 4-H leader.
