COLTON—Funeral services for 51 year old Brenda L. Miller, 21695 Rock Lane, Carthage, and formerly of Colton, will be held Friday December 28, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton with Rev. Patricia Lennox presiding. Burial will be held in the Pleasant Mound Cemetery, Colton. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. Mrs. Miller passed away early Thursday morning at the home of her sister, Susan Robar. Brenda is survived by her husband, Richard, Carthage; her two daughters, Stephanie Miller, Carthage and Brandy Miller, Colton; her two brothers, Daniel (Sandra) Litten, Anderson, SC; Rodney Litten, South Colton; her two sisters, Susan (Dale) Robar, South Colton and Karen Smith, Canton. Brenda is also survived by her father and mother-in-law, Robert and Marlyne Miller, Colton and her step-mother, Vera Litten, South Colton. Born in Potsdam on March 31, 1961 to the late Albert John and Lorraine Fisher Litten Jr., Brenda graduated from Colton-Pierrepont Central School in 1980. She served in the U.S. Army for a brief period, and then married Richard G. Miller on October 12, 1985. Brenda was a homemaker and enjoyed watching the NY Mets, doing puzzles, reading and listening to music. She was a hard worker, always finding something to do. Brenda was a member of the Black River American Legion Auxiliary and the Carthage VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Memorial donations can be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley or to any Breast Cancer Awareness organization.
