NORFOLK—Funeral Services for 76 year old Dale L. LaBarge, 10 Roger Drive, Norfolk, will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Visitation in Norfolk with Rev. Msgr. John Murphy presiding. Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Massena. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. Mr. LaBarge passed away Sunday at his home. Dale is survived by his wife, Dorothy, Norfolk; his daughters Annette LaBarge, Syracuse; Christine LaBarge, Rochester; Amy LaBarge and wife Theresa Fusco, Syracuse; Michele and Scott Weaver, Norwood; his son, Stephen and Jennifer LaBarge, Massena; his three step-sons, James Gately, Florida; Don and Michele Gately, North Carolina; Tom and Karen Gately, Ohio; a step-daughter, Patti and Wayne Wisniewski, Buffalo. Dale also is survived by fifteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a brother Donald and Dawn LaBarge, Norfolk, his sister Joan Martin, Norwood and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Sally and two brothers Tom and Bernard LaBarge. Born in Norfolk on October 29, 1936 to the late Raymond and Lillian Frederick, he married Sally Connelly on August 4, 1962. Sally passed away on March 28, 1998. Dale later married Dorothy Ferguson Gately on May 12, 2005. Dale worked at Reynolds Metals in Massena as a mechanic for 38 years, retiring in 1998. Dale was a member of the Church of the Visitation, the Norfolk American Legion, the UAW in Massena and the K of C in Norfolk and Massena. Dale was a Past Grand Knight and District Deputy in Massena. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1957-1959. Memorial Donations can be made to Hospice, the Norfolk Rescue Squad or to the Norfolk American Legion.
