Obituary of Sharron A. Welch

COLTON—Funeral services for 68 year old Sharron A. Welch, 80 Brown Road, Colton, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton with Rev. James Shurtleff presiding. Burial will be held in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Colton. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton on Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral. Mrs. Welch passed away Tuesday morning at the Fletcher-Allen Medical Center in Burlington, VT. Sharron is survived by her husband, William J. Welch Jr., Colton; a son William J. Welch III, Watertown; a daughter Mary and John Kirch, Crogan; four grandchildren and a sister Gretchen Berger, Michigan. She was pre-deceased by her two brothers, Bruce and David Parrow and a sister Bonnie Sue Parrow. Born in Canton on September 1, 1944 to the late Wesley and Marjorie Billings Parrow, she married William J. Welch Jr. on August 27, 1964. Sharron worked in Maintenance at Satterly Hall for SUNY Potsdam for 25 years, retiring in 2005. She was a member of the Norwood American Legion Auxiliary, was affiliated with the Colton Amvets and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, cooking and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
