NORWOOD—Funeral services for 84 year old Clifford K. Maxin, a resident of the St. Regis Nursing Home in Massena and formerly of 12 Elm Street, Norwood, will be held Monday at 2 pm at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood with Rev. Patricia Page, pastor of the Norwood United Methodist Church presiding. Burial will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Norwood. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Monday from 12 noon until the time of the funeral. Mr. Maxin passed away early Thursday morning at the Massena Memorial Hospital. Clifford is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary, Massena; his only loving children, sons, Ricky and Cathy Maxin, Vestal, NY ; Daryl Maxin, Norwood; his daughter, Shari and Scott Kocik, Endicott, NY; one grandchild, Teny Simons and two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Justin Simons and several nieces and nephews and a very special niece, Joan Eurto. He was pre-deceased by his four brothers, Kenneth, Howard, Stanley, Raymond and his three sisters, Marjorie Quinn, Mayfred Murray and Doris McCarthy. Born in Ogdensburg on April 8, 1928 to the late Clinton and Myrtle Parks Maxin, he married Mary LaFleur on August 31, 1956. He worked for John McKenna and Sons Construction Company in Norwood for 30 years, retiring in 1988. Previously, Mr. Maxin worked at the Norfolk Paper Mill. Clifford was a member of the Massena Labors Union and loved to putter in his garage and enjoyed helping all of his neighbors. The family would like to give special thanks to the Massena Hospital, A.
