Obituary of Eunice M. Brynildsen

NORFOLK—Funeral services for 96 year old Eunice M. Brynildsen, 2009 Sober Street, Norfolk, will be held Friday morning at 11 a.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood with Brendan Hardy presiding. Burial will be held in the Raymondville Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Mrs. Brynildsen passed away Saturday evening at her home. Eunice is survived by a son, James and Lori Murphy, Norfolk; two daughters, Shellie (Shirlie) Singleton, Hermon; Pearl Alexander, Chase Mills; nineteen grandchildren and several great-grand and great-great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her husband, a son Robert, a daughter Lee Matthews, her brothers William, John, Roy, Godfrey, Leroy and a sister Peggy Campbell. Born in Stella, North Carolina on August 29, 1915 to the late Robert and Pearl Spicer Campbell, she married Edward Brynildsen in July of 1961. He passed away on June 23, 1989. Eunice worked as a nurse for the United Hebrew House in New Rochelle, NY. She loved the Lord, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family at cook-outs.
