Obituary of Keith J. Gonyou

NORFOLK– Funeral Services for 61 year old Keith J. Gonyou Sr., of 2 Elm Circle, Norfolk, will be held Thursday at 10 am at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk with Rev. Andrew Amyot, pastor of The Church of the Visitation in Norfolk, presiding. Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Norwood. Calling Hours will be held Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk. Mr. Gonyou passed away late Monday evening at Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Survivors– Wife– Roberta, Norfolk; Son– Keith and Patricia Gonyou Jr., Norfolk; Daughters– Ms. Paula Gonyou and her companion Richard Cryderman, Brasher Falls; Jamie Perrin, Norwood; 7 Grandchildren– Christopher, Mark, Crystal, James, Jakob, Autumn, and Hunter; Brothers– Abraham and companion Lillian Cuthbert, Norwood, Gordon and Ann, Madrid; Larry and Linda, Newwark, NY; Lloyd and Kathy, Norwood; Roger and Carol, Waterloo, NY; Sisters– Mrs. Larry Donna Compo, Wilcott, NY; Mrs. Tim Kathy Kirkey, Rochester; and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a granddaughter Melissa Newton. Born in Stockholm on December 16, 1946 to Abraham and Elizabeth McGregor Gonyou, he married Roberta M. Perrin on October 11, 1969. He was a self-employed business owner, owning his own trash route for 40 years in the Norwood, Norfolk, and Potsdam area. Memorial Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
