NORWOOD—Graveside services for 94 year old Gladys M. Adams, 9 Prairie Street, Norwood, will be held Monday at 2 pm in Bixby Cemetery, Norfolk with Rev. Msgr. Harry Snow presiding. Mrs. Adams passed away early Wednesday morning at Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Gladys is survived by her daughter, Arloene Morgan, Norwood; her five grandchildren, Kenneth and Rona McGrath; Patti Orologio; Amy and Eric Gaumes; Charles Spencer and Laura Measheaw and Mary Merkley and Todd Phillips. Gladys is also survived by several great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and a sister Regina Barney, Burleson, TX. Gladys was pre-deceased by her husband, three brothers, Glenford Newtown, Lowell Newtown, Bernard Newtown, her sisters Erdine Shorette, Geraldine Brothers, Kaye Craw and a great grandson, Dustin Berger. Born in Norfolk on May 17, 1918 to the late Frank and Agnes Christian Brothers, she married Kenneth P. Adams on December 27, 1941. Ken passed away in 1982. Gladys was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, knitting and working on crossword puzzles. She also loved to play cards. Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.buckfuneralhome.com .
