NORWOODGraveside services for 65 year old Ellen Marie Simmons, 108 Murphy Road, Norwood, will be announced at a later date. Burial will be in Hale Cemetery in Norfolk. There will be no calling hours. Mrs. Simmons passed away Saturday evening at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
Ellen is survived by her husband Leroy, Norwood; her two sons, Joseph Snickles, Canton and Emmett and Bekki Snickles, Elmira, NY and her daughter, Elizabeth Becky and Richard Hackett, St. Johnsbury, VT. Ellen is also survived by six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two sisters, Gladys Blair, Norwood and Hazel Felix, Raymondville. She was pre-deceased by her brothers David, George, Napoleon, Paul, Melvin and Harold and her sisters Doris Snickles, Mable Brothers and Elizabeth Martin.
Born in Potsdam on September 19, 1946 to the late Napoleon and Elizabeth LaPage Martin, she married Leroy Simmons on July 3, 1976. Ellen was a homemaker. Ellen enjoyed bingo and loved to cook and spend time with her family. Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.buckfuneralhome.com .
