NORWOODFuneral services for 63 year old Clayton R. Clayt LaRose, 16 Baldwin Ave, Norwood, will be held Monday at 10 am at St. Andrews Church in Norwood with Rev. Msgr. Harry Snow presiding. Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Norwood. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Sunday from 3-7 pm. Mr. LaRose passed away Wednesday evening at Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
Clayt is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia, Norwood; his son Brian LaRose, Watertown; a daughter, Christy McDonald, Norwood; his four grandchildren, Shannon and Cortney McDonald and Brianna and Sophia LaRose and his sister, Mrs. Richard Janice LaShomb, Norwood.
Born in Potsdam on May 8, 1948 to the late Clayton and Leona White LaRose, he graduated from Potsdam Central School in 1966. He married Patricia A. Hunter on July 26, 1969. Clayt worked at the Norwood-Norfolk Central School, serving as the Transportation Supervisor and the Head Mechanic. He retired after 30 years of service. Previously, he worked at Blevins Motors in Potsdam as a Parts Manager. Clayt was a member of the Norwood Model Railroad Club and the BBD Hunting Club and was a past member of the Norwood Fire Department. Clayt loved model trains and building layouts for them and he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and his classic cars. He enjoyed going to camp and spending time with his family and friends.
