Winthrop—Funeral services for 61 year old William L. Almasy, 529 McCarthy Road, Winthrop, will be held privately Friday with Rev. Msgr. Harry Snow, pastor of St. Andrew’s Church in Norwood presiding. A private burial will be held after the funeral service in the Visitation Cemetery in Norfolk. Mr. Almasy passed away Tuesday evening at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital. William is survived by his five brothers, Richard and Jeanie Almasy, Freeport, Illinois; Tony and Debbie Almasy, Winthrop; Steven and Betty, Rockford, Illinois; James and Tracy, Creston, Illinois and John and Mary, Bel-Air, Maryland and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his parents, a sister Patricia Miller and a brother Robert Almasy. Born in Potsdam on August 15, 1950 to the late Steven and Helen Neer Almasy, he was a Supervisor for the ARC in Massena, where he worked for over 25 years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors.
